Why this program?
Most people who try to learn horary from books get lost in the rules. They wonder who the significator is, which reception counts and which aspect perfects first. They know the rules but cannot reach a judgement.
This program teaches the rules through questions. The first nine classes build the grammar of horary. The other eleven take real questions house by house. Each class works through one type of question, with the significators and the criteria for judgement that belong to it.
From the sources
The curriculum rests on source texts from the Hellenistic and classical tradition, not on social media summaries. Each technique is taught with its historical context.

Topics do not come in random order. Each class builds on the one before it.
Practical
Every concept is shown on real charts. The aim is that you know what to do when a chart is in front of you.
How you study between classes
Watching a class is only part of the work. Astrology asks for repetition, practice and a working memory of its terms, and the portal carries much of that load for you. The end-of-class quiz shows what you have not yet grasped. The portal works out when each term should come back for review. Each exercise links to the matching free tool, and your progress is tracked for you. Under every class there is a study section in six parts.
End-of-class quiz
After each class there is a multiple-choice quiz on that class's topic. Answers are checked on the server, and each question comes with an explanation of the correct answer. You can retake the quiz as often as you like.
Term cards
Classical terms are studied with spaced repetition. Cards you know move to longer intervals. Cards you struggle with keep coming back at short intervals. The portal works out which card you see and when.
Your own notes
Each class has a notes area that belongs to you. The notes you write while watching the recording are saved to your account and stay in the same place for the whole program.
Chart exercises
Each class has an exercise on a real chart. The exercise links directly to the matching free tool on the site. When you submit your answer, you get feedback from your instructor.
Progress tracking
The portal records which classes you have completed. Your dashboard shows your overall progress and your daily study streak, so you do not have to keep track of where you left off.
Your chart library
Charts you cast on the site are saved to your account and synced across your devices. The chart you used in an exercise is ready for the next class.

London and New York times are for winter. The class stays at 19:00 Istanbul time for the whole program, so after the clocks change in March it starts one hour later in London and New York.

Astrologer, researcher and teacher working in the classical astrological tradition. She translates Hellenistic and medieval sources from their original languages and brings them into present-day practice. She combines her background as a software specialist with astrology, and she built the free astrology calculation tools on sirauysal.com herself.
