Chiron spent roughly eight years in Aries, circling the question of identity and the right to exist. This year it moved into Taurus, and its focus shifted markedly. The question is no longer "who am I, and do I have the right to be myself," but turns instead to "what am I worth, what do I have, and what kind of relationship do I have with my body and with what is mine."
A small detail makes this transit even more meaningful. When Chiron was discovered in 1977, it was also in Taurus, standing at the sign's third degree. Nearly fifty years later, the sky has brought it back to the very sign in which we first saw it.

There is one more subtlety worth noting with this transit. The Moon is exalted in Taurus; that is, the feeling of being nourished and safe, of having "enough," reaches its most natural strength in this sign. Chiron settling into the very sign where the Moon is exalted lends the wound a particular depth, because the wound falls exactly where security and grounding are expected to come most easily. A sense of a crack where solid ground is expected is the theme most often noted with this placement.
Taurus's nature, however, carries a consolation. This sign never rushes anything.
